Beta Terms
Thanks for helping test Go Gym. These beta terms sit alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy; where they differ for the beta, these terms apply.
Who you are testing with
The Go Gym beta is currently run by Tom Dowling as a sole trader, based in the United Kingdom. Go Gym Ltd is being incorporated; at or around public launch the app, your account, and associated data and intellectual property will transfer to the company, and your account and any tester perk carry over.
A free, in-progress product
The beta is free to use. It is pre-release software, so you should expect bugs, incomplete features, and changes as we build. On rare occasions we may need to reset data during the beta period. Please keep anything important backed up elsewhere and don't rely on the beta as your only record.
The tester perk
As a thank-you, testers who log consistently during their first 30 days receive lifetime premium (ad-free) access from public launch. Exact eligibility (what counts as "consistent" logging) will be confirmed to testers before the qualifying period ends. The perk is personal to your account and is not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
Test ads during the beta
You may see placeholder or test advertisements in the app during the beta while we set up our advertising. These are not live commercial ads. Qualifying testers keep the ad-free perk from public launch regardless.
Analytics during the beta
Usage analytics are on during the beta and are a condition of taking part — they tell us what's working and what's breaking so we can fix it quickly. Analytics are handled as described in our Privacy Policy (identified only by an internal ID, with health fields excluded). At public launch, in-app analytics become optional and you can turn them off in settings.
Health and fitness data
Go Gym records fitness and health-related information you choose to log, such as weight, measurements, and habits. This is special-category data, and by taking part you give explicit consent for us to process it to provide the service, as set out in the Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the data or your account. Go Gym is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
Keep it confidential
Until public launch, please keep the beta confidential. Don't publicly share screenshots, unreleased features, or other non-public details of the app. Feedback you send us about the product may be used to improve Go Gym without restriction or obligation to you.
Leaving the beta
You can stop testing and delete your account at any time from within the app. Deletion applies a 14-day grace period, after which your account and associated records are permanently removed.
Eligibility
The beta is open to people aged 18 and over. By taking part you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
