These terms are historic

These were the terms for the closed Go Gym beta (TestFlight, Play closed testing, and related tester access). Go Gym is now a live production service operated by Go Gym App Limited.

New use of Go Gym is governed by the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. These beta terms remain here so testers can see what they agreed to at the time. They do not apply to new sign-ups. Where a beta perk still applies to your account (for example lifetime ad-free access), that perk continues under the production terms.

Who operated the beta

During the beta, Go Gym was operated by Tom Dowling as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. The service, user accounts, associated data, and intellectual property have since transferred to Go Gym App Limited, which is now the operator and data controller.

What the beta was

The beta was an unpaid test of a pre-release product. Testers agreed that:

• the app could contain bugs, incomplete features, and downtime, and data might be reset;
• there was no payment for taking part;
• qualifying testers could receive a launch perk of lifetime ad-free access, granted on our records rather than as a store purchase;
• test advertisements might appear during the beta; those were part of the test, not the production ad experience;
• product analytics were required during the beta so we could find and fix problems; analytics is optional on the production service.

Confidentiality

Until public launch, testers agreed to keep pre-release features, screenshots, and other non-public information private, and not to publish or share them without our permission. That confidentiality obligation ended at public launch for information we have since made public. It still applies to any remaining non-public material.

Eligibility, health data, and medical disclaimer

The beta was intended for people aged 18 and over. Health and fitness data logged during the beta was processed with the tester's explicit consent. Go Gym did not then, and does not now, provide medical advice. Nothing in the app is a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice.

Accounts and deletion

Testers could delete their account at any time. Production accounts still can: deletion uses a 14-day grace period, then permanent removal, as described in the Privacy Policy. Some testers asked us to wipe or keep beta data at launch; we honour the choice recorded for that account.
